Mobile Computing

Nowadays mobile computing has become very famous in the world. As we know there are many kinds of mobiles which include technology for example, iphone, Blackberry, Intermec and others. People try to find the latest and easiest way to communicate. Mobile computing allows people to communicate to each other in easy way without using wire. Anyone anywhere can use this tool.

Martin Cooper was the first mobile inventor. Mobile computing was invented in 1990. In the beginning signals were used between people through telegraph. Also, communication was depending on using radio signals. Not all people can use the internet in the past only some and it was difficult and need time to connect to the internet. By the time it developed to wireless communication which make our lives very small and quickly. “Mobile data communication has become a very important and rapidly evolving technology as it allows users to transmit data from remote locations to other remote or fixed locations” (Koudounas, V). We can use it for hours not only minutes. We can use the mobile computing not only in the home but we can use it in car or mall and plane when we travel for a long time. Today many companies invented mobile computing because they see it is a good way for business and to make money. And all people are changing their way from laptops and pc to mobile that includes network and software because it is easy to carry compared to laptops. With mobile computing we can watch videos, play games, DVD, finish our work online. In my opinion in the future the percentage using mobile computing will increase because people depend on using mobile and they are too busy. Mobile computing comes in many shapes and colors. Some of mobile computing is by touch, others use with pen. As we know laptops have a big size of memory (120 GB) and it can save anything. But the mobile computing has a ( 4 GB) now it reach to (48 GB) and I’m sure in the future it will have same or more than the laptop memory size and new services. As we see mobile computing has developed but its price is good and many people can buy it because laptops and computers are more expensive than mobiles. All businessmen use mobile computing because they can work away from their office, see their work and files, and see their appointments. It is good for policemen I think if they put and invent software that help them to quickly find the direction of the thieves through maps or different programs.

In conclusion, mobile computing is a good development but people must use it in right way. It is a very useful tool but it need people who know and able to use it. People should be careful while they are driving because carrying mobiles lead to accidents. “They are not terribly good for anything that requires extensive input and editing such as writing a report or entering extensive amounts of data into a system while people are out on the road” (Tanny, 2011). We see there is a big challenge between companies that make mobile computing and laptops.
